Each week I pull Tarot cards to inspire practice that cultivates soul wisdom for readers of the blog as a group using the Gaian Tarot. (If you want to read more about the process, check out Sacred Practices of the Gaian Tarot: The 3 P’s).You are invited to use the cards below to inspire your practice, and, if you like, share your reflections in the comments. You are also free to draw your own cards and share them in the comments.

OVERALL MUSINGS: At first glance, the Air card seems separate and different from the Fire cards. But then we can remind ourselves: air feeds fire. The unflinching gaze and the clarity it brings to our inner Guardian of Air can create a foundation for moving into the energetic re-birth and flow that the week invites. Perhaps it is time for an inventory of what feeds your energy so you can focus there (and make cuts in other areas, if possible). You might take this inventory work into a meditation where you prepare by tuning into the body, envisioning any blockages to flow fading away, and honoring whatever emotions arise. Then let your gathering mind, your higher vision, your third eye direct your attention to what will best help you to burst forth into the transformation you desire.
A Personal Synchronicity Report: Yesterday (so before I pulled this morning’s cards) I walked at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary as part of my prep for the upcoming seasonal ritual Walking the Ways of the Summer Light (like the winter ritual there will be a booklet, blog posts, and tele-circle leading up to the Solstice; details coming soon). I encountered many amazing creatures, including the snake below.
I was walking on the board walk between the vernal pool and the field and heard the slightest movement in the leaves. I paused and looked, and a tiny red tongue rose from the leaves to lick the air. Slowly a head emerged and the snake stood at attention. It has been a relentless winter for us here in the NE, but I think we have finally broken through!
